Northlands Rural Roots Raffle 2011 - House Rules
Total number of tickets printed is 62,450 (9305 ticket sets) Tickets are for sale in Alberta only. Tickets will be sold via internet, telephone, and mail in activity (upon receipt of cheque, cash, VISA or MasterCard - fall 2011), at Northlands Park (racetrack) and selected trade shows throughout the Edmonton area.

- 20 tickets for $100 CAD - 43,100 (2,155 tickets sets)

Draw Dates and Procedures
The Early Bird prize will be made on October 14, 2011 at Northlands Park, 7410 Borden Park Rd, Edmonton, Alberta. Cutoff for the early bird prize is 11 pm, October 7, 2011.
The Final Draws will be held at 1 pm at Dodge City, Edmonton EXPO Centre Hall ‘E’, 7424-118 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, November 13, 2011. The ticket draw will be conducted in order from the lowest prize value to the highest prize value. Tickets are eligible for all prizes. Time of draw may be advanced subject to early sell out and approval of Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission. Mail, internet, and telephone sales cutoff is 11 pm, Sunday, November 6, 2011. On site ticket sales at Farmfair International and Canadian Finals Rodeo will cease at approximately 12:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2011.
Eligible tickets will include all those for which valuable consideration has been received from the purchasers. It will not include tickets which are known to be stolen and for which proper action has been taken by the selling agent prior to the draw. In the event a ticket drawn for a prize results in Northlands being unable to contact that recipient within one (1) year, Northlands will dispose of the prize with proceeds directed towards a charity or otherwise approved by Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission.
There will be no request to Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission for draw date extensions and/or cancelation.
Prize Eligibility
Northlands and Stride Management employees and members of their immediate households may not purchase tickets.
Stolen or Missing Tickets
In the event that the selling agent becomes aware of tickets being stolen or misplaced, they shall notify Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission immediately so that appropriate action may be taken.
Verification of Draw Judges
All draws are open to the public. Representatives from Northlands and/or Board of Directors and from the public who is over the age of 18 years will witness the ticket draw procedures. The draws will also be recorded on video for public inspection.
Illegible Tickets
If a ticket cannot be read by the representatives making the draw, the ticket number will be posted on ruralrootsraffle.ca, the winner will have one year to claim their prize. Only the actual ticket for the 2011 Rural Roots Raffle will be considered eligible to win.
Refunds
Refunds are only provided if the ticket(s) has not been placed in the draw barrel. Customers must state in their correspondence reason for refund and provide their portion of the ticket showing serial number(s) should a refund be requested. Any ticket purchased by cheque that subsequently is not honored will be declared ineligible.
Winners must accept prizes as offered
All prizes must be claimed in Edmonton, Alberta.
In the event a winning ticket has more than one name, Northlands will have the authority to award the prize to any one of the named individuals on behalf of the group. Northlands and Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will not be responsible for how the prize is adjudicated by the individual who receives the prize as group representative. Northlands will not arrange any substitute prizes or assist the prize winner in any subsequent sale, exchange or otherwise disposition of the prize awarded. All prizes awarded on an “as is” basis.
Participation of Minors
Minors (under the age of 18) are unable to purchase tickets in the raffles. If they are named on the winning ticket, the public trustee will act as the agent for the minor’s interest in the prize disposition.
Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission
All rules and regulations of Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will apply to the operation of the raffle licensed to Northlands Park. In the event that these Houses Rules contradict those of the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission, the Commission’s rules shall prevail.
Publication of Winners’ Names
Northlands reserves the right to publish all winners’ names, addresses, and photos. Prize winners will be posted on ruralrootsraffle.ca once the Early Bird and Final Draws take place.
